A new morning

My long locks whisper in the Florida breeze. The skunk apes are breeding, and their smell carries into the developments where the clean, washed, scrubbed down people live, in their pink, yellow and teal pretty houses. The electrical consumption has gone down, and students of the sun are prepapring for the exams of the end of the year. Graduation is upon us. Best of Luck South FLorida's class of 2018.

Latino Literacy! Read, read, and read!

Here I lay in repose. Weekends are the best. I was going to dip into our emergency funds and raid the Barnes and Nobles for reading material when.....zappo. A big box of books arrived at my front door. International Latino Book Awards selected me as a judge for non-fiction books, and I have slightly less than a dozen books to peruse. So many books...I'll find the time:) I am excited to read them and find the ones most worthy of recognition.

Saludos y Felicidad Hoping the Thanksgiving that brought Miami some frio has everybody warm, and not foreclosed upon this weekend.

Funny little monkey

The credit cards are playing scared. With the new Bill signed by President Obama today, we will have better chances to pay off those credit cards, and stay out of debt. I have some cards at 5%, and some as high as 28.99%. Isn't that ludicrous? As a saint, I have no need for worrying about these things of mere humans, but many of my followers in the US will be needing the help in order to keep their finances healthy. Don;t forget your offerings of healthy fruits and sweets on your home altar. Happy Summer, and close up the school year in style.

Waiting for our ride, Debacle in dead silence

Not all saints are created equal. When you have no religion, except for materialistic possessions, you can get bogged down in the mundane. Maria Lionza believes in harvesting the bounty of the earth, so mass manufactured Chinese goods hold no appeal. Face it, when you walk into a retail store, and the stench of Chinese goods overpowers you with their plastics, it's time to turn around. Sometimes their products are well made, but saints cannot trust anything ingested or given to a child to be fabricated other than in the Americas. Economic meltdown sounds more like a needed restructuring. Consumers have made their choice, by not buying what they do not need. For Hispanics and Latinos to participate, the scrapbooking industry needs to make their goods within the Americas. Viva, la free trade! We need jobs, and new businesses to grow within the green. Los quiero! Maria Lionza
